I landed in Nashville at about noon yesterday, spent the day relaxing with the boys and this is the story Blue told me last night before he went to bed.
“Once upon a time there was a boy, and his daddy was gone for a long time, and he was coming home. And the little boy was so excited that he spilled his cereal. Then after his nap time they got to go get their daddy at the airport and they were so excited that they drove so fast. The end.”
I’m home till Thursday morning. I plan on hanging out, giving Kristin time to sleep in, playing hard with the boys and laundry… lots of laundry.

Comment by Alymc October 28, 2007 @ 4:08 pmBrody – I’m thanking the Lord for your safe return home to spend the holiday with your exceptional wife and boys. Man, it’s also a blessing that you are all healed up and can breath again. Yea for Kristin getting to sleep in, too. Thanks so much for sharing such a tender moment with you and Blue. As a parent, those are the sweet, simple memories that resonate past our ears down into our very souls. Enjoy Halloween and don’t lose your pirate/ninja in the dark. Ha, ha. You might wanna get some reflective tape, huh?
God bless all you Harpers. Bye for now. Melody Milbrandt in Missouri
P.S. – I know what ya mean about the laundry. Being a single parent, I’m out numbered.
There’s three things the kiddos and I always have plenty of. Laughter, love, and LAUNDRY. Ha!

The only stories my little six year old sister tells me is how she plans to cut off my head with dull scissors one day. Pretty entertaining, don’t you think?
Maybe when Blue is about 14 or 15, he’ll tell you a story similar to that one, when you ground him or something.
