Who’s Ready For An Adventure?

jlarosspmafall-01.jpgAs most of you know I have been on the road for the past two months and basically about the entire year before that. Along with that my awesome, hot wife has been home with three very small active boys. And she did an amazing job. She didn’t loose anyone, the house looks great, and from the looks of them they have eaten well and healthy. That may all be about to change.

Tomorrow morning Kristin and our oldest son Blue are getting on a plane and heading to California for a week. One of Kristin’s friends from there had a baby last week, and she is going out to see the baby and hopefully recover from two months of juggling an entire household alone. See, what this means for me is… it’s time for an adventure. I will be home alone with the two younger boys. Aiden (2 almost 3) and Cooper (just turned 1).

The way I see things going are lots of inside games, movies, snacks and early mornings. All of which I am excited about, but I’m not going to lie. I’m afraid to loose someone. I’m ready though. I have mentally prepared for the amount of diapers that will come my way. The elevated need for strong coffee, and everything else that comes with dealing with small people.

Now, I know there are probably some dads out there that may do this all the time, and I commend you. There are also probably those dads out there thinking, “What a baby, that’s not that big of a deal”. Well maybe it isn’t. But you would be a little nervous too. But I’m ready. I’m rested. I’m prepared for adventure. And I have no idea what the picture has to do with this post.

I will try to make this a well documented adventure. Partly for the readers and partly for my wife checking in from California. Who knows, something amazing might happen.

That Picture fits perfectly…as a father of two girls (4 & 2) you NEED elastic arms to keep up with them always running two different directions!

Remember that thing you can buy to put on your key chain – you whistle and it beeps back it at. Buy two, one for each boy, and you won’t have to worry about losing them.

Now, keeping up with them is another story.

IF you have time to post, I’m looking forward to hearing about the adventures.

Seriously, I brought you stimulants from Ethiopia for such a time as this.

Lord have mercy.

I don’t see how moms do it. Good luck amigo. My niece and nephew wear me out after 2 hours. I need 4 hours of nap time for every 2 hours of 2 and 3 year-old playtime.

You go from looking after soft rock stars to taking on two toddlers. Good luck my friend!

It’s exercise time!

Good luck and have fun…as long as the blood loss and fire damage are kept to a minimum I am sure the awesome, hot wife will be proud!

I’m sure that I’ll come back, and Cooper will be walking, Aiden will be potty trained, and the house will look great. (hint hint)
You are an awesome dad, and I have only one worry, that you start dressing like the guy in the picture- ha ha.

Sometimes I feel like I have my hands full with our 6-month old. Good luck and Godspeed. This should make for some good stories.
